Skyline Plaza Government
Board of Directors
Skyline Plaza co-owners elect the Board of Directors which establishes standing committees to assist in various aspects of its functions. They oversee the activities of the Community Manager to assure the upkeep of our common elements and the comfort and safety of residents, approve/reject contracts and major expenditures, and establish policies and rules in the interests our community.
Before the Board's monthly meeting, the agenda for the meeting is posted on the bulletin boards near the mailrooms. All residents are welcome to attend. Usually a portion of the meeting is opened for "residents' comments" from the floor.
Each director on the nine-member Board is a co-owner serving without pay or remuneration. Elections are held each year to fill vacant positions - three candidates are elected to serve 3 years because of expiring terms of office and sometimes, in addition, there is an un-expired term to fill, e.g., when a director resigns without completing the full term.
